Biomutant is an open-world RPG where looting items and crafting new weapons is a huge part of the game. Players can craft all sorts of unique melee and ranged weapons part by part. Regardless of whether you’re trying to make the next best weapon or a silly one with a banana handle. This has led some people to wonder do weapons break in Biomutant.
Do Weapons Break in Biomutant
The quick answer is that weapons do not break in this game. The developer made this clear in past interviews before it released and fortunately, this stayed true. This is often a controversial mechanic in looter games where you constantly have to get new weapons or repair broken ones.
For example, Dead Island is a zombie game where both melee weapons and ranged ones have durability. After using either type for too long, it’d break forcing you to get a new one. This can be a pain especially when you get a weapon that you really like. Or one that’s especially strong. But as we mentioned, weapon durability isn’t a problem in Biomutant. There’s never a worry that a weapon you crafted will break or become weaker over time.
Can Armor Break in Biomutant
For those wondering, the same rule holds true for armor as well. While you can’t craft new armor like you can with weapons, it still doesn’t have a durability mechanic. With that said, you can still modify every armor type with addons that make it stronger. These addons provide buffs like a higher critical chance or more defense, for example.
