Superfuse Team Silent After No Update in Two Years

The action RPG Superfuse that launched onto Steam Early Access hasn’t received an update in over two years and the developer and publisher haven’t answered why. After many attempts to learn more about its development, it seems likely the developer has been busy with a blockchain NFT game.

Developer Stitch Heads Entertainment hasn’t been active across social media with most of their activity stopping around 2023. This aligns with the development of a blockchain NFT game they co-developed named Forgotten Playland. According to the LinkedIn of a former Stitch Heads Entertainment employee, they worked on Superfuse within the window of November 2021 to April 2023. Then, they worked on Forgotten Playland between April 2023 and December 2024.

Several Stitch Heads Entertainment developers have listed their work on Forgotten Playland between art portfolios, LinkedIn, personal websites, etc. While we’ve been unable to get a response from the developer after multiple attempts, one former employee informed us that they can’t disclose anything due to an NDA. We’ve also attempted to get any information regarding Superfuse’s development from the publisher Raw Fury but they haven’t responded after four attempts to reach them.

A Six Month Project on a Blockchain Game

It’s possible Forgotten Playland was a temporary contract for Stitch Heads Entertainment as one former employee lists it as a 6-month project. Developer Tali Di Girolamo wrote that they finished their work on Forgotten Playland after previously working on Superfuse. They also listed five other developers working on the blockchain game, three of which no longer work at the company having left between October 2024 and December 2024.

We’ve reached out to the Forgotten Playland developer, Duckland Games, to get more information regarding their co-development but haven’t heard back. The current timeline shows Stitch Heads Entertainment released Superfuse on January 31, 2023, before shifting to Forgotten Playland about two months later. According to the Raw Fury Community Ambassador, Asteyni, she stated on the Steam forums in December 2023 that a Superfuse update was planned for late 2023. Almost a year later in October 2024, she repeated similar info in the Superfuse Discord,

“Unfortunately at the moment there isn’t much I’m able to share. We had planned to release a big content update last fall, but we weren’t able to make that happen. I’m still waiting to hear when we expect that to come out.”

This doesn’t confirm if they were simultaneously working on Superfuse and Forgotten Playland. However, it does say that they had an update planned for late 2023 when they were developing Forgotten Playland and couldn’t meet it. Over a year later, there hasn’t been an update or any new information regarding it in the Superfuse or Raw Fury Discord.

Superfuse Abandoned or Quietly in Development?

This has led to users questioning if the lack of updates is a scam or if Stitch Heads Entertainment has abandoned the game. It’s not unheard of for a Steam Early Access developer to run out of funding or abandon a game. Currently, the Superfuse Steam page states, “We hope to have the full version of the game released roughly within a year of the Early Access launch.” This wouldn’t be the first time a developer missed their planned release date, but it’s not made any better by being silent.

Their official but inactive Twitter account doesn’t mention Forgotten Playland or any delays in Superfuse’s development. Instead, players are left wondering if they bought a permanently unfinished product. Which is only made worse by it still being available for sale if that is the case.

Without an official response, it’s impossible to know the current state of Superfuse’s development. And it’s clear both Stitch Heads Entertainment and Raw Fury aren’t providing an answer to clarify that. The question to ask now is what are they working on if they haven’t been developing Forgotten Playland since December 2024?
