11 Best Attack on Titan Revolution Tips and Tricks

Attack on Titan Revolution is a popular Roblox game that can be tough when you’re new. That’s why I’ve put together this list of tips and tricks after reaching level 100 to help guide you in the right direction. The game is clearly based on the Attack on Titan anime/manga. And if you’re familiar with that, you’ll at least know the basics going into this action-filled RPG.

Tip 1 – How to Hit a Titan’s Nape

Attack on Titan Revolution - Grappling to Titan Nape

If you’re new to Attack on Titan, you may not know that hitting a titan’s nape does the most damage. However, this can be difficult since they’ll turn and try to grab you. The best thing you can do is hook their shoulder or near their neck and swing around until you can swoop in. You can also hold spacebar on PC while swinging to boost in quicker.

Otherwise, there are a few tricks in the next tip to stun titans. But, that’s not all, you can also unlock the Target Acquisition skill along the left side of the skill tree. This makes the nape a hook point so you can easily swoop in. And if you’re playing on mobile, you’ll already have access to this aim assist feature. Even if you don’t have aim assist, the nape area stretches far down. So if you hit a titan’s upper back, you’ll probably still get them.

Tip 2 – Aim For a Titan’s Face and Limbs

Targeting a titan’s face and/or limbs can temporarily stun or disable them. For example, hitting a titan’s face with enough damage will blind them. This completely stuns them making for an easy hit to the back of their neck. Just make sure you don’t wait too long since they will recover.

Aside from their face, you can hit their legs to make them kneel. Or hit their arms to prevent them from grabbing. But, I don’t waste my time going for their arms. It’s just not as useful as stunning them via the other choices.

Tip 3 – Avoid These Areas to Not Get Hit

A titan’s most vulnerable spot is behind them so everywhere else is potentially dangerous. However, you should avoid their feet, arms, and face unless you’re going in for a hit. Otherwise, there’s a decent chance you’ll get hurt. This is especially dangerous at higher difficulties where you can get injuries with debuffs.

This is why I use perks that prevent injuries or use skills that escape from a titan’s grip. Two skills for escaping are Hand Grinder and Hardy Counter. Otherwise, you’ll need to rely on winning the quick time event to avoid getting bitten.

Tip 4 – Dodging is Great For Repositioning

Attack on Titan Revolution - Dodge Backwards Into the Air

Dodging by double-tapping a direction to move that way is extremely useful in Attack on Titan Revolution. While you can use it to dodge out of a bad situation, it’s also great for creating opportunities. One of my favorite tricks is to look at the ground and double-tap backward to fling myself into the air. It’s especially useful when I’m in an area without anything to attach to.

Aside from that, I often dodge to the side or backward to swoop back in for another attack. I rapidly take out titans when doing missions that revolve around defending. This is due to distracted titans making for easy targets.

Tip 5 – Don’t Rush Into Higher Difficulties

Attack on Titan Revolution - Severe Grade Attack Titan Raid

Meeting the grade for a new difficulty can make it tempting to leap into but it isn’t always a good idea. If you can’t one-hit a titan’s nape, you’re going to have a tough time. But, you can still use skills like Red Flare or perks to increase your damage.

The biggest mistake you can make is going into a titan raid at the minimum grade gear. Aside from struggling to survive or deal damage, you won’t get the same rewards as everyone else. This is due to a 5% minimum damage requirement before you can unlock chests from completing the raid.

Tip 6 – Upgrade Your Gear

The majority of your gold in Attack on Titan Revolution is spent upgrading gear. There are eight upgrades you can spend money on each with their own benefits. I prioritize upgrades that increase my damage. Such as ODM Damage and Crit Chance while also upgrading Blade Durability.

With that said, you will have to upgrade them all eventually anyway. It’s just a matter of what order you build them in. This is because you need to increase your overall gear grade before you can continue upgrading each piece further.

Tip 7 – Don’t Forget About Your Skills

Upgrading your gear is important but you’ll need to spend gold on skills too. However, unlike your gear, you’ll need to level up to get skill points before you can unlock new skills. This can help if you’re unsure what to spend gold on first.

It doesn’t hurt to research ahead and see what skills you may want. As you purchase skills, it’ll become more expensive to unlock other ones and you’ll need to get more skill points. This is why I like to look at the larger nodes with active abilities and major passive buffs. Fortunately, the gold costs aren’t too significant.

Tip 8 – How to Fight Groups in Attack on Titan Revolution

Attack on Titan Revolution - Fighting a Group of Titans

Fighting titan groups is dangerous because it’s easy for them to overwhelm you. Therefore, I target the tallest ones first and work my way down. This prevents the shorter ones from being able to reach me.

Unfortunately, this isn’t always doable and you will encounter titans of the same height. At that point, if you want to play it safe, you can try targeting limbs first. Once you’ve stunned a couple of titans, it makes the fight more manageable.

Tip 9 – Adjusting Mission Modifiers

Attack on Titan Revolution - Enabling Modifiers

Mission modifiers are a great way to get more gold and experience while also tweaking the difficulty. What some Roblox players may not realize is that you can also lower the difficulty using modifiers. However, this instead comes with gold and experience penalties. But, it’s worth the penalty if you’re able to reach a higher difficulty.

The -10% XP/Gold penalty from the Simple modifier isn’t significant enough to outweigh higher difficulty rewards. This can be all you need if your gear isn’t strong enough to one-hit tougher titans. And, you can remove or add new modifiers after completing a mission. As long as you’re the mission creator.

Tip 10 – Best Missions to Farm in Attack on Titan Revolution

When creating a mission, you can click the “Objectives” button to pick a different mode for each map. This is an alternate set of objectives with a different goal. I like to change it up occasionally while also farming certain modes. The best ones are usually where titans are easily distracted.

My favorite is Breach on Shiganshina. Once you clear the first group of titans, waves will assault the headquarters. Most of the time, they leave their backs open while attacking the building. Protect on Trost isn’t too bad either since it can be completed quickly. But, at higher difficulties, you can quickly be overwhelmed.

Tip 11 – Farm Currency in the AFK Zone

The AFK Zone is worth taking advantage of to farm gold and gems if you’re able to leave it open. Every five minutes you’ll get some gold and gems while idling. I’ve had mixed results with it not kicking me from the game after being idle. So I wouldn’t say it’s 100%, but they do try to prevent the AFK timer from getting you. You can also join the Attack on Titan Revolution Roblox group to get extra currency outside the AFK Zone.
