If you’ve ever played Dandy’s World in Roblox you may run into people starting confusing runs without any explanation. So if you’re like many players wondering what a Dandy Run is, I’ve got a guide for you.
I tried to keep everything simple so there isn’t too much to read if you want to quickly know what it is. While also including tips and tricks further down if you want to be prepared going in. Fortunately, it’s not that complicated.
What is a Dandy Run in Dandy’s World
Whenever you see someone type something like, “ABC for Dandy Run”, they’re talking about the type of run they’re doing. This means their goal is to try and get the Twisted Dandy during their run. Which unlike other Twisted characters, you can increase the chances that this Twisted spawns.
The trick to a Dandy Run is to not buy anything at the elevator shop each time it appears. As long as no player in your current session buys anything, Dandy will continue to get visibly upset and angry. You’ll see it in their face, dialogue, and their music as it turns unsettling. Eventually, they’ll become angry enough to appear during a floor as the Twisted version. But, be careful because they’re the only Twisted character that can one-hit players.
Allegedly the chance for them to appear increases with each shop skip but I don’t have the data to confirm this. I did a solo Dandy Run where I skipped every shop and they didn’t appear until the 11th floor. Afterward, they reverted to their calm happy state. If you continue to skip their shop by not buying anything, they’ll go back to being angry again.
If you want to be extra prepared for a Dandy Run, here’s what you should know about the Twisted version. Aside from one-hitting players, they also have a special ability similar to other main characters. Upon finishing a machine, they’ll charge toward it quickly to search for the player nearby. This is why I won’t finish a machine if I know they’re close. Otherwise, you won’t get a chance to escape before they arrive.
