Prepare for Dandy’s World on Roblox using some of the best tips and tricks I’ve put together. This is based on my time playing the game and learning what you need to know to survive. Expect a good amount of tips for new players while also providing info experienced players may appreciate too.
Comment below if you have some useful tips and tricks of your own. Or just let us know which Toon or Trinket you think is the best!
Tip 1 – Manage Your Stamina
Sprinting everywhere is dangerous because you won’t have stamina when you really need it. While it can be tempting to sprint to the next machine or gather Tapes, you have to be careful. This is why I balance how much I sprint to prevent draining my stamina completely.
Otherwise, you’ll end up with a Twisted chasing you and be unable to get away. Hearts are precious and you won’t always have healing items available. Therefore, unless you have items to give you stamina, you’ll want to mix a good amount of walking in.
Tip 2 – Losing Twisteds More Easily
There are only two ways a Twisted will stop chasing you. First, they can switch to another player if they get close enough to someone else. This is dangerous if the other player isn’t paying attention. But, it works well if it’s someone actively trying to distract Twisteds.
The second more obvious answer is to get out of a Twisted’s line of sight. This is why it helps to know where furniture is that you can sprint in circles around. Some players refer to them as islands. As long as you keep Twisteds from seeing you, they’ll revert to a calm state. Don’t worry about furniture or shelves that can be seen through. Twisteds won’t aggro by seeing you through them.
Tip 3 – Take Advantage of Consumable Items
Dandy’s World has a ton of items that you can find or buy from Dandy’s Shop in between floors. These give temporary advantages like extra stamina, faster movement, quicker extraction speed, and more. Just make sure to not hoard the ones you pick up since those are limited. However, the items that Dandy sells are for each player so you don’t need to worry about hoarding those.
As far as the shop goes, you’ll want to save your Tapes for rare items. This includes healing items like Bandages or Health Kits. I’m a fan of items like the Jumper Cables and Instructions, but you’re still likely better off with the others. Especially since once you run out of hearts, it’s game over.
Tip 4 – How to Get Research in Dandy’s World
Learning how to get research is important if you want to unlock new characters (Toons) and get Trinkets. Fortunately, it’s simple even though it can be dangerous. First, you can loot little capsules spread throughout each floor. The capsules you find will always represent the Twisted enemies currently there. Each one gives 1% and unlike other items, they’re client-side so each player has their own capsules to loot.
The second method is a Twisted encounter where they chase you. You’ll gain 5% research for the Twisted that runs after you. Unfortunately, you can only do it once per Twisted on each floor. So if you have a Twisted Boxten chase you on Floor 1, you’ll get 5% research. Each time they chase you after that on Floor 1, you won’t get more research. However, if you play as Rodger, you’ll get double the research from capsules and encounters.
Tip 5 – Equip Trinkets For Buffs
A good way to get farther in Dandy’s World is by using Trinkets. These are items that you can equip for useful passive buffs. For example, the Pink Bow increases run speed by 7.5% speed. This makes it a lot easier to escape from Twisted encounters.
Unfortunately, you won’t have any when you first start playing. Unless you get a bunch of Ichor from game codes and can afford one. Aside from spending Ichor at Dandy’s shop in the lobby, you can also unlock Trinkets through research. Just make sure you don’t equip the Brick unless you want a harder time. With that said, you can have two Trinkets active at a time.
Tip 6 – Beware of Twisteds That Look Friendly
It’s easy to mistake Twisteds for friendly players. This is because each Toon character has an evil equivalent. While some Twisteds are dramatically different or change when they’re chasing, others are deceptive. This is why I’m always careful when running into another player just in case.
One big way to know the difference is if they have red eyes. But, chances are you’re not looking directly at their face unless they’re headed right toward you. Otherwise, they can also have black Ichor stains all over them. Once you know which ones are on a floor, it becomes easier to keep track of.
Tip 7 – Leave a Machine Almost Full Near the Elevator
This is a trick I love that you won’t always get to do with random players. As the tip says, you’ll want to leave one machine almost full near the elevator. Then, go complete all the other machines, get your items, encounters, and head toward the elevator. Completing this machine last makes it so you don’t have to run far and can use the full escape timer.
The last thing you want to do is run across the entire area while dodging Twisteds. Even if you have a high running speed or stamina, other players may not. Which can lead to chaos as Twisteds run from player to player. Another useful thing you can do is type, “GTE” in the chat which stands for get to the elevator.
Tip 8 – How to Get Ichor in Dandy’s World
Unlocking new characters and Trinkets can be grindy since you’ll need Ichor. Unless you spend real money on Ichor, you’ll need to simply play the game or redeem codes. You can get Ichor from the following actions:
- Completing machines
- Picking up research capsules
- Amount of floors survived
- Using Toon abilities
Tip 9 – Choosing the Best Card Upgrades
After every odd-numbered floor, you can pick one of three Cards for team buffs or healing. They all have their benefits, but I’ve noticed players often vote for higher rarity items to appear. The two Cards that give this are Avaricious and Covetous. Even though people will sometimes opt for Cards that restore one heart to each player as well.
Every lobby will vary when playing with random players so all you can do is vote for what you want. If you’re not sure, you don’t have to vote. In some cases, players will want situational cards or avoid certain ones to accomplish tasks. So don’t overthink it too much!
Tip 10 – Toons Fall Into Certain Roles
Every character in Dandy’s World has their own advantages based on their stats and abilities. For example, Boxten has a high extraction speed via his passive ability but it’s dependent on players staying alive. This makes it so he can fill machines quickly. Whereas a fast character like Pebble is great for distracting Twisteds. While others fill a supportive role by buffing teammates. Here are some examples:
Extractor | Distractor | Support |
Boxten | Pebble | Astro |
Vee | Flutter | Cosmo |
Brightney | Goob | Tisha |
That’s all there is to this Dandy’s World list of tips and tricks. Hopefully it’s helpful for new players interested in jumping in! I know it can be tough trying a new Roblox game, especially for the ones without tutorials.
