Knowing how to change class in Battlebit Remastered isn’t too complicated despite it being easy to miss. A big part of this issue is because the game doesn’t have much of a tutorial. It’s tucked away in the Shooting Range where it’s very basic. This is why we’ve put together this guide and others like how to build.
There are six different classes players can choose and each one has access to different weapons, armor, gadgets, and more. Especially if you’re looking to heal others as a Medic or snipe enemies as a Recon. Just make sure you’re not wondering how to change loadout since that’s separate from changing classes.
How to Change Class in Battlebit Remastered
Once you’ve joined a match you’ll need to make sure you don’t accidentally spawn into the game. Otherwise, you’ll need to wait until you die or press Escape and then use the Respawn button. This is because you can only change class at the deploy screen where your map is visible.
All you need to do when on the deploy screen is click one of the six buttons/icons near the bottom center of your screen now. From left to right the classes are, Leader -> Assault -> Medic -> Engineer -> Support -> Recon. You can see these in the screenshot above.
In case you’re worried about class limits like in similar games, Battlebit Remastered doesn’t have any. So if you want to join a Recon-only squad or perhaps an anti-tank squad of Engineers, you can. With that said, almost every class has its purpose so you may regret having too many of certain classes.
With that said, if you’re not in a squad, you’ll only be able to play as the Assault class. Instead of seeing each of the class icons on the deploy screen, you’ll see a message saying that you need to join a squad first. And if you try to swap classes while alive, you’ll get a message saying that you can’t.
As mentioned in the intro, we’ve included tables below of all the weapon types available to each class as well as their gadgets. This includes both primary gadgets and secondary ones. While certain gadgets like the Repair Tool are available as both primary and secondary, most of them are limited to each type.

That’s all there is to this guide on how to change class in Battlebit Remastered. Which class is your favorite to use and why? I usually play Medic to try and keep my buddies alive between healing them and reviving other players too. Even though it can be fun to pull out the Recon sometimes.
