Coal is a nice resource to have in Muck so you don’t need to waste using wood for fuel. That’s why we’ve put together this guide on how to get coal. When developer Dani first released Muck, it was a little annoying to get a lot of this item. But, the second update has made it much simpler and easier to get.
How to Get Coal in Muck
The best way to get coal is to simply mine black rocks that can be found around your world. You can get around four to six pieces of coal from mining each black rock. By now, you likely know how to get your first pickaxe, but it’s important to mention you will need a pickaxe to mine coal. The first tier Wooden Pickaxe works fine, but it will take a little longer.
Before the developer pushed the second Muck update out, the only way to get coal was by breaking rocks. This led to it being a rare resource forcing players to often use wood for fuel instead. Despite it not lasting as long in a Furnace or Cauldron.
The second update also added all sorts of new content for players to return to the game. This includes a new boss alongside the Big Chunk to fight called Gronk. A new Wolf enemy to watch out for or to hunt down. New powerups and items to collect. Alongside other minor changes too like a FOV slider in the options.
If you have any other questions for us, feel free to comment below the article and we’ll try to help. We’ve also put together a few other guides to help players out with common questions asked around the community. And even a beginner guide for those completely new to the game. This is great for introducing a friend to Muck.
