Biomutant pushes you toward joining a tribe early on without really knowing what’s going on in this universe. While it’s clear one is marketed as the good guy and the other as bad, you may still not be sure which to pick. That’s why we’ve put together this short guide answering a common question, can you change tribes?
Can You Change Tribes in Biomutant
Depending on your situation, the quick answer is that you can change tribes relatively easily. However, if you’re in one tribe that’s at war with another, it can be a little more difficult. For example, the two first tribes, Myriad and Jagni, are hostile to each other. So if you join either of these two and try to change sides, they won’t welcome you in.
This is where it can be a little difficult regarding how to change tribes in Biomutant. While all you need to do is talk to the Sifu/leader of a tribe to switch, you need to not be hostile to them. This requires making a little more progress and joining a tribe that isn’t hostile with the one you want to join. Due to the way this universe works, many tribes are rivals and have different goals in mind for the Tree of Life.
If you’re just switching tribes because you want to try a different weapon unique to that group, you don’t need to. The alternate method for getting each tribe’s unique weapon is by defeating them or getting them to join your side. Once you’ve conquered each outpost and taken their main fort, it will become available.
